Ruby Cadillac, A Murdered Angel

April 05, 2005

Again

I got word today that the D.A. denied us again. again. I can't believe it. No one cares that this isn't just a dog, it's a matter of her not doing anything wrong, and her still being on our property. HE HAD NO RIGHT TO DO WHAT HE DID, and they just don't see that. The D.A. suggested we get a lawyer, and take it to civil court. If that goes over well, then they might consider it from there.

I have had it up to here with this. I'm so very frustrated at the thought that this guy is going to be able to live his life like he didn't do anything. Like he didn't change our lives, and not for the better. I am begining to really hate Tuesdays.

I honestly think that you should get the media involved at this point. There is nothing that the D.A.'s office hates more than mass public scrutiny.

If your story is televised, perhaps you'll find a lawyer to take your case pro-bono.

Our thoughts are with you.

Im very sorry to hear about your dog. Its such a tragic thing for you and your family to go through. My prayers are with you, and Godspeed that neighbor of yours, straight to the pokey. The best of luck in persuing your case. (((huggs))) Heather

I definitely agree keeping the media involved would be a huge benefit! The DA's office just abhores negative attention. The more people see how much Ruby was a FAMILY MEMBER, not just "some dog", the better for you and your case. Good luck to you. I've been praying for you and your family since I heard about this tragedy in March, and I so want to see that so-called human being get what he deserves.

I say go to the press too. i can't believe it hasn't been splattered all over the news already!
Do what you can legally to nail his sorry butt to a wall.
