Ruby Cadillac, A Murdered Angel

March 29, 2005

A Second Chance?

Yesterday our statements were finally taken to the D.A. again. This time by our senior officer, whom I trust and am very grateful for. I am anxious to hear back on news of an actual court case. New maps, full statements, and hopefully the CD with pictures and video on it, were all turned in, and I am hoping that good karma will kick in right now for us. I will post ANY and ALL that I hear back. Today, Ruby has been gone 4 weeks. And it still hurts. And I still think of her everyday. Her absence has yet to go unknown.

Thank you MegaLion, for keeping the trolls out of the site, and keeping this a memorial and supportive place for us.

Thank you, to everyone who has left such positive and uplifting comments. I live for your supportive words, and you have been such a big help getting us through this emotionally tough time. It's a painful loss, and to know that some of you were once in my shoes, gives me strength, and I can't thank you enough.

All I can say is that if you have managed to so far resist the urge to pummel your neighbor into a puddle of extra chunky salsa, then you are a bigger person than I. I don't even know you or where you live and I'm having urges already!

Your case looks good, though. If the DA will listen, then you should have a strong shot at putting that whackjob in the pokey. If they won't then a civil case certainly seems in order. The value of the dog, plus pain and suffering. Frankly, it won't ease your pain, but at least you'll own the bastich's house.

I hope you win. There has to be some legal issues with this jerk firing a weapon in a public area, and killing a innocent animal on your property. Please let us know how it goes.I hope justice comes your way for your baby.
